His interest in cultural theory is focused on the diagnosis of the present and the question of what (Western) society can know. For several years, he has been working on a social observation model with the terms \”quantity\” / \”quality\”, \”negation\” / \”affirmation\” / \”hyperaffirmation\”. He was research assistant at the Institute for Theory at the Zurich University of the Arts and has been working on his doctorate at the ZHdK on the topic of \”Difference polarity and hyperaffirmation\” since 2018. Patrick Frank also runs the only analog photo booth in Switzerland in Zurich.
