Composition

Kai Kobayashi, born in 1991 in Tokyo, started playing the piano at the age of six. She studied composition at the Tokyo College of Music and the University of Music Dresden. Her artistic engagement with social issues, with which she has been involved since the beginning of her career as a composer, has continued recently in new forms of experimental music theater. She is currently pursuing the \”Konzertexamen\” in composition at the HfMT Hamburg under Gordon Kampe, as well as a master\'s degree with a focus on Experimental Music Theater at the UdK Berlin under Daniel Ott, supported by the Deutschlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship). Her works have been performed by various ensembles, including the MDR Symphony Orchestra (broadcast on Deutschlandfunk), the Symphoniker Hamburg, Ensemble El Perro Andaluz, Ensemble LUX: NM, Ensemble KNM, and project ensemble morph.
