Anja Hilling

Anja Hilling (born in 1975) graduated with degrees in German and theater studies from the Freie Universität Berlin, and with a degree in writing for the stage from the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK). She currently lives in Berlin and writes, among other works, plays, including “Mein junges idiotisches Herz“ (“My young idiotic heart“) (2005, a Munich Kammerspiele production); “Sinn“ (“Sense“); “Schwarzes Tier Traurigkeit“ (“Black Animal Sadness“ – international performances at, among others, La Colline in Paris and the Royal Drama Theater Stockholm); “Der Garten“ (“The Garden“); “Massiver Kuss“ (“Solid Kiss“); as well as “wie kann ich dich finden, zu mir ziehen und überreden zu bleiben“ (“How can I find you, have you move in with me and be persuaded to stay“). Her awards include “Newcomer Author of the Season“ in 2005, and a nomination for the “German Youth Theater Prize 2014.“ In the current season, “Apeiron“ (at Theater Bonn) and “liberté oh no no no“ (at Schauspiel Frankfurt) will celebrate their premieres.
